Whats That You Say...

I bet you thought this first sentence might reveal whether "Bob" was a he or a she. No such luck. You will have to keep reading to find the answer.

Yes, I totally know that I am a very bad blogger. I am blaming it on the pregnancy brain. I forget everything and that includes updating my very own blog. I should want to do to the fact that I may actually remember to do something, say something or eat something based on what I type. I also know that there are a few readers that don't have access to facebook where I randomly post new pregnancy facts.  I figure I may as well take a minute to update you on the pregnancy and everything in between.

Here are the ones I deem important:

How far along? 23 wks 0 days

Weight gain/loss: 16 lbs as of my last appointment (yep, pretty sure I am going to stop posting this number)

Gender: dun dun dah dun......BOY!!

We are beyond thrilled with the money shot that our baby provided us. He was more than willing to show us the goods and Rilyn was super stoked to be in the room when we found out. I cried just out of the pure joy that I witnessed with my little boy Ri finding out that he was a big brother to a little boy. He proceeded to do what he called the "I'm a big brother to a boy" dance and it was something I wish I would have captured on film. Jeff and I are more than a little pumped that we dont have to figure out a girls name. We were having the darndest time and just "knew" that it was going to be a girl since we had no name picked out or agreed upon.

The boy name came very easily. We started our list when I was freshly pregnant (cause thats how I roll) and I made Jeff come up with names before we were even close to finding out the sex. Our little baby boy will proudly be named Xavier Ray. Can I just say that we LOVE the name. Its also nice that Ri can correctly pronounce it instead of butchering it like he does with the companio (piano...and no we dont know why he says it like that. It takes us telling him 3 times that its piano before he says it correctly).

So how did we pick the name:

Xavier: No real reason behind this except for the fact that we love it. Jeff brought it to my attention and I fell in love with it instantly.

Ray: Ray is my mothers maiden name. We know that Xavier will be our last child (unless we become millionaires and then in that case we shall adopt) and we wanted him to have a name that came from my side of the family. Both of our sons now have names that represent a side of our families. (Ri's middle name is Jeffs dads name).

We can't wait to meet our little dude. Now we just have to kick it in gear and get his room converted from a computer/tv room into a bedroom.

Love The Hagans-
Jeff, Carla, Rilyn & Xavier
