Its Been How Long...

First of all,I cant believe that its been over a month since the last time that I posted something. I don't know why it has taken so long for me to come up with something clever to write about. Scratch that. I never really have anything clever to say.I just like to say random things. Now if you have made it through my ramblings then I have a few more things for you to enjoy or look at whatevers clever.

First things first, Jeff and I are going out of town this weekend. I am excited to go. We are going to be hanging out with our Jeffs newly engaged brother John and his fiance Liz. The fun starts Friday and I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it, I know I know.....(I know I don't know the rest of the words...ha)

First we are going to go here:

Its the Kansas City Power and Lights District. It is suppose to be really fun. Jeff has been and I haven't. He suggested it, and I think that it will be a blast. John and Liz are going to take us there and show us a good time...I will have to post pictures if I don't become lazy again. I cant wait to drink some beer and have a fun night out with my husband. It feels like it has been forever since we have been on a "date" and a whole weekend "date" is going to be amazing. I am hoping to enjoy some good KC BBQ while we are there. I love me some BBQ and plus, its summer. That is a perfect combination.

On Saturday Jeff and I will be going to this:

Red White & Boom happens every summer. Its pretty fun. It starts at like 1pm and goes all day. They end the concert with a fireworks display. They always have random bands and will try and have a relevant band that is pretty popular in the current year. Jeff and I started going to the concert when we were in college. We try and go every year if its bands that we wouldn't mind seeing. I am excited to see David Cook and Blue October. Jeff and I watched the American Idol season that David Cook was on. We really liked him from the beginning and actually dig his music. We even downloaded his cd to the ipod so that I could jam out on the way to work. My reason for buying the cd. I am not going to a concert and not know any songs...who does that. Not me .

I think that we are going to really enjoy ourselves. I might try and update you on how it goes if I feel up to it. You know how I get...say one thing and do another. oh well. that's just me.
