WHOA!!

Dang ... I did it again. I looked at I haven’t updated “The Dirt” since May 25th. Why the heck do I wait so long between posts? I’m no good in the Blogosphere that’s for sure. I can’t bring myself to log in and update this thing no matter how many interesting things are happening or have happened. What I need is someone to transcribe my thoughts as they roll out of my head. That would probably get them to the web quicker. Well I suppose since it has been over a month, I should at least give you a snippet of what’s been happening in the Hagan world.

Jeff started playing in a softball league. His team I think is called The Corn-fed Crew, and their colors are Red and White. He is the best player on his team (I’m laughing as I write this….sorry babe). He is actually pretty good; however, his team is not. I need to post a picture but I don’t have any on my computer yet. Rilyn likes to take pictures of them when we go to the game so I have some pretty good ones I could post. They have legit uniforms and all. I’m very impressed. Jeff seems to like it a lot and it gives him something to do and some male adult interaction on Friday nights. Jeff was also the most awesome husband and surprised me by getting tickets for us to see Beauty and The Beast the musical. It was absolutely amazing and I was tickled pink to see it. It was a much needed date night and Jeff and I really enjoyed ourselves.
Rilyn has gotten more and more fun over the last month. He is blossoming at a pre-school and loves life to the fullest. Summer has started at Pre-School and that means fieldtrips. He gets to go on two fieldtrips a week. He has gone swimming a couple of times (they usually go every week), to Play Daze (a skateland play area), Bounce U (a humongous bouncing room), and a Farm. He is having the time of his life. He loves being able to ride the school van with his friends and go different places. He loves to go swimming and to wear swim goggles. He also loves to play video games just like his dad right now. Who would have thought that? We were cleaning out the garage and came across my Nintendo Game Cube and he is addicted to Sonic the Hedgehog. He was in his uncle Johns wedding over the weekend ( June 25) and J bribed him with a new video game for the Game Cube and a new game for MY Nintendo DS. Yep you read that right…its mine, and he now has a game for it. He can be extremely strange sometimes, but you gotta love him. Here are a couple of pictures of him that I have snapped with my phone….

As for me, I finally got my Girl-Cation to Vegas!! I was beyond excited to go. Sarah and Toni had the pleasure of sitting on either side of me to witness my Lamaze breathing as the plane took off and got into the air. I am such a super freak when it comes to flying. I will say that I am not nearly as deathly afraid as I was when I first flew. Sarah can vouch for that. It was a pretty quiet flight and we got to Vegas and immediately freshened up and went out. Then my trip becomes a blur. I slept most of the day and partied until the sun came up (literally). California Girls by Katy Perry became our theme song (even though we are not from Cali). I think I lost my mind somewhere along the 6 day trip. We hit up TAO at the Venetion, which I would highly recommend if you ever want to experience true Vegas nightlife. It was definitely BOMB! So bomb that we went twice. We also hit up LAVO at the Palazzo which was a lot smaller but still pretty cool. I got to see Michael Irvin which I really have no clue who he is besides knowing that he used to play for Dallas, which is Toni’ favorite team, and he was in the movie The Longest Yard. Toni was in the hotel at the craps table and got to see Leonardo DiCaprio. Bomb right? I would have totally switched celeb sightings with her. It probably would have made both of our days. Oh well, its still cool right. In great Carla fashion, I have yet to upload any pictures so you are left with pictures that Toni posted on facebook…Thanks Toni! I won’t promise, but I will try to post some more at a later date.

Lastly but certainly not least…John and Liz got MARRIED!!! How excited are we that this happened? VERY EXCITED!! It was the best wedding that I have been to in a long time. I shed some tears because I am a sap like that. Also, I HAVE known John since he was 15. That’s a long time. I have seen him grow up and mature and blossom and it’s the greatest thing to witness someone you love find love. Liz was absolutely stunning and John wasn’t so bad either. I am more partial to the handsome 4 year old that was tearing up the dance floor with a girl 2 years his senior. I think they might have stolen the show. Ri had his own cheering group and danced the night away. He danced until his feet literally hurt and then I took his shoes off and he kept on dancing. It was the best night. I am so happy for John and Liz. Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Hagan. Here are a couple of pictures (also stolen from facebook). I swear I will post some of my own soon. I have some really good ones.

Well, it looks to me that my snippets are always really long. I guess there is really no way to condense a month into a few paragraphs.

 Love The Hagans-
