I had to work last night and when I got to my car, I had a text from J. All it said was " Ur Son....." This was a little after nine so I'm thinking what happened. I called and he goes on to tell me that Ri came downstairs to get him and when they went up to his room there was baby powder ALL over the bed. Jeff asked him what happened and Ri starts crying and saying sorry. Rilyn was trying to put powder on himself so that he would smell good and dumped it ALL OVER THE BED. Im thinking, yeah right it cant be ALL over the bed. I asked J if he took a picture because I thought it would be a funny one to have along with the story. He said no he just tried to clean up as much as he could. Bummer for you....there is no evidence to go with what I'm telling you.
I get home and go upstairs to kiss Ri goodnight and he is sleeping so I don't mess with him too much. I pull back the blankets and I can tell that there was powder all over...It didn't look like a lot so whatever, his bed will just smell yummy.
Well, fast forward to this morning and I turn on the light in his room and notice that his beloved boxy mouse is on the floor next to his bed COVERED in powder. I then pull back his blankets to wake him up and sure enough it looked like the powder exploded on his bed. He was passed out on a giant white sheet....his sheets are blue. Ri has a Cars themed set and his pillow case has Lightening on one side and Mater on the other. He ALWAYS sleeps on Lightening. I noticed that he was sleeping on Mater. I turn over the pillowcase and Lightening is completely covered in powder. I asked Rilyn what happened and he said that he wanted his bed and belly to smell good. I don't really know what happened but I DO know that it was one of the funniest things that has happened to Ri in a long time.
Oh the joys of parenthood. Our kid is quite the character.
